After months of planning – with enormous support from my close friends and family – I’m ready to make the leap of faith into full-time photography.
Today I’m excited to announce that next week I will be moving from Boston to Iceland to begin the next chapter of my life.
Iceland will be the home-base of my new company called “International Photography Adventures”. IPA for short (yes, like the beer).
Through IPA, I’ll be leading photography workshops/tours in Iceland and other locations around the world starting this summer. The workshops will include hands-on photography instruction in the inspiring landscape of Iceland, in-depth training on post-processing techniques, and some serious adventures! The photo-adventures are open to all levels of expertise: professional, amateur, or enthusiast alike.
My workshops are for anyone who is interested improving their photography skills by learning how to create compelling and inspiring imagery in epic destinations such as Iceland.
I’ve also partnered up with a number of great businesses in Iceland and around the world including, Geysir Car Rental (the best adventure car rental company in Iceland) and PhotoPills (they make the legendary photo planning iPhone App “PhotoPills”). Workshops will be planned using PhotoPills and Geysir cars will be used to tackle the intense landscape of Iceland.
For a little back story: In June of 2015 I visited Iceland for the first time and fell absolutely in love. The warm and inviting people, otherworldly landscape, and unique history and culture of Iceland make it a true photographers paradise… and for me it’s the ideal place to make the leap from a full-time Chemical Engineer to full-time Photographer & Adventurer.
In the next few weeks I’ll be posting more information on this website/blog and on social media as I finalize IPA activities for the Summer and Fall.
